These are a few places we like in the area. There's plenty of options in general though!

Places to eat

  • Rachels, West Bay (award winning seafood)
  • Rise, West Bay (nice food on a sort of island)
  • Station Kitchen, West Bay (quite expensive but very good)
  • Market House, Bridport (Sunday carvery & traditional pub food)

Pubs

  • The George, Bridport
  • The White Lion, Bridport
  • The Crown, West Bay

Shops

  • Cilla & Camilla - household items
  • Dogwood Antiques (part of the antiques village if you like that kind of thing)

Sights

  • Colmers Hill - big hill with trees on it. Apparently you can do a land-speed-boat trip up there.
  • West Bay Harbour - you can take a speedboat day trip to Lyme
  • West Bay cliffs - part of the Jurassic Coast and famous off the TV show Broadchurch for someone being murdered there
